George Haven was enrolled in Campbell's Independent Company of Georgia Siege Artillery, in the closing weeks of the war.  He was my 2-great grandfather John Shepard Haven's brother and was also a veteran of several militia enrollments in the Second Seminole War.  I have not looked into William George Haven's life to any great extent, but I do know that he came to Florida much earlier than John Shepard Haven.  He settled in Columbia County, Florida, about the time of the Second Seminole War, and remained there for the rest of his life.  I am not certain where in Columbia County he settled, but believe it probably was in what is now Levy County.
