Michael Prevatt was Richard White's second cousin, four times removed.

Michael Prevatt was the second cousin of my great great grandmother Clarissa Prevatt Davis.  He was born in Robeson County, North Carolina, on 2 August 1831, and married Nepsey E. Barnes on 20 November 1850.  He was enrolled as a private in the "Clay Valley Rangers," Company E, 51st North Carolina Infantry Regiment, at Wilmington, North Carolina, on 25 May 1863 and died of pneumonia in a Confederate military hospital near Petersburg, Virginia, on 18 May 1864.
