Joseph Prevatt was Richard White's first cousin, four times removed.

Joseph Prevatt was the first cousin of my great great grandmother Clarissa Prevatt Davis.  He was born in Robeson County, North Carolina, on 19 April 1841.  He served in the 18th North Carolina Infantry Regiment.  He survived the war and died in Robeson County on 19 July 1920.
