The Natural Bridge Historical Society (NBHS) is a nonprofit citizens support organization the purpose of which is to preserve and promote the historical, cultural, and recreational value of the Natural Bridge Battlefield Historic Site in cooperation with the Florida Park Service.  Membership dues and special fund raising events allow us to assist in the maintenance and enhancement of facilities at the Site.  Members also participate in community outreach and interpretive programs to educate the public about the historical significance of the Natural Bridge Historic Site and the events which transpired here during the American Civil War.

The Natural Bridge Historical Society, Inc. (NBHS), is a Citizen Support Organization of the Florida Department of Environmental Regulation, Division of Recreation and Parks, with all proceeds dedicated to purposes related to the historic site and to the State of Florida.  Section 496.403, Florida Statutes, provides in part that Sections 496.401-496.424 do not apply to state agencies or other government entities or persons or organizations who solicit solely on their behalf.  As an organization strictly limited to such solicitation, the NBHS is not required to register with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Division of Consumer Services.
